In this feature of The Moneris Mosaic we shine a spotlight on Nicole Speck (she/her).
Nicole celebrated five years at Moneris last month. Since starting her career journey as a Summer Student in the Sackville office, Nicole has grown in the Customer Experience team and currently works as a Team Lead, Customer Service, based in the Toronto office. Through various training, upskilling and the support of her leadership team, Nicole grew into a leadership role quickly within the team. However, during her transition to a new role, Nicole experienced feelings of imposter syndrome. She overcame these thoughts with the reassurance of her team and by reminding herself that she could succeed in the role because of the sound experience that got her there.
Outside of her day-to-day role, Nicole is the Communications Lead on Moneris’ PRISM Employee Inclusion Group (EIG), a space focused on supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ team members, their allies, and educating the larger Moneris community on the experiences and challenges that impact the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in the workplace and beyond.
In her spotlight, Nicole shares more about her career journey in Customer Experience, overcoming imposter syndrome in a new position, and growing in her role and as a leader because of her involvement in an EIG.
