  • Moneris partners with a variety of unique associations and buying groups across Canada. Through these partnerships, associations promote Moneris to its members and in return, Moneris offers preferred pricing to members interested in becoming merchants.

  • Moneris is partnered with several major card brands and digital wallets, giving merchants the flexibility to accept a variety of payments from their customers. 

    Every card brand, including Interac®, Visa®, Mastercard®, American Express®, Discover Pay®, JCB® and Union Pay®, is responsible for creating and enforcing the rules of credit card use and payments. All payment processing systems, including acquirers like Moneris, are expected to abide by their rules, guidelines and fee structures. 

  • Moneris works with several ISOs and referral partners, who are authorized to refer, advertise and/or sell Moneris products and services to potential merchants. 

  • Moneris has partnered with a variety of independent software vendors that offer a wide range of business and payment solutions to fit every industry.

  • Moneris works closely with all levels of government (as well as public and private sector partners), with the underlying goal of helping to inform policy and build innovative payment solutions that will support economic growth for all businesses. For example: 


    • Moneris is one of the few payment processors in Canada that develops its own payment terminal software solutions for both in store and online; this work has led to collaborations with organizations like the Canadian Institute for the Blind Foundation and the Government of Canada, where Moneris helped upgrade terminals with important accessibility features.
    • Moneris’ Data Services leverages timely and in-depth data across different industries and regions, such as consumer spending trends and insights, that have helped with economic recovery planning, informing government policies, and more.
    • Moneris was the first payments processor in Canada to offer debit and credit Open Loop Payments for transit, helping transit authorities and municipalities reduce operating costs, increase ridership, and drive economic growth.
