    • Merchant contact details and other required information for account creation/approval
    • All payment transaction data related to digital payments (I.e., everything except cash), including sales and refund data such as transaction size, when the transaction occurred, and what card was used

  • Moneris is uniquely positioned to provide data insights into the economic impacts of events and projects in Canadian cities. This information is offered as part of our Data Services business to stakeholders (e.g. retail customers or Government agencies), and they can use the data to help make informed decisions. Moneris uses statistically relevant and properly masked merchant data to provide insights into trends in the Canadian economy. No personally identifiable information is ever shared about the merchant.

  • Moneris never shares merchant information without prior consent from the merchant. All data services information is anonymized and aggregated. That data is only used if it fits within appropriate sampling methodologies to ensure accurate and relevant analysis. If these minimum thresholds aren’t met for a data service area, we will not share the data.

  • All Moneris data is stored securely and in compliance with PCI DSS standards.

  • Moneris stores all data in compliance with data record retention standards. Aggregate transaction data will be stored longer to enable deeper lookbacks at historical trends.

  • Data that does not need to be retained will be properly disposed of securely and in compliance with the PCI DSS and data record retention policies.
