Moneris Employee - Refer a Business – Terms & Conditions and FAQs

 

Moneris (“we”, “us”, “Moneris” or “Company) is offering active employees the opportunity to participate in the Refer a Business Program (“Program”) as described below.

 

Program Description:

Moneris employees may refer an eligible business to Moneris and they enter into a Moneris Merchant Agreement and meet the program requirements, both you and the referred business will be eligible to receive a $200 (CAD) eGift card via email. Conditions apply.

 

General:

To qualify for the program, the following conditions must be met:

1. You must be an active Moneris employee at the time of delivery to receive an approved reward.

2. The employee must register via the Employee Referral landing page, using their Moneris email address, create an account on the Referral Rock platform and share their unique referral link to an authorized representative of an eligible Canadian business/potential Moneris client (the “Referee”).

3. The Referee must become a Moneris merchant as a result of accessing the employee’s unique link and subsequently providing their contact information through referral form, and not because of any general sales efforts that pre-dated the referral.

4. The Referee must process their first transaction within the first 30 days of entering into the Merchant Agreement.

5. The Referee must not have been a Moneris merchant in the past 6 months.

6. The Referral offer may not be combined with any other Moneris offer.

7. The Referee must be classified as an IB Merchant as per Moneris account segmentation. The Offer is not available to merchants who: (i) currently participate in a merchant program for franchisees, trade associations, member associations or other buying groups; or (ii) have processed an aggregate Visa® and Mastercard® transaction volume of $2,500,000 CAD or greater in the preceding three (3) months.

 

 

Qualifying Employee Referrer:

The Employee Referrer:

1. Must register for the program using their Moneris email address.

2. Must be an active Moneris employee at time of reward delivery to receive any approved eGift cards.

3. Must be a legal resident of Canada and at least 18 years old to participate in the program.

4. Must register as a program member via the Employee Referral landing page and create a profile on the Referral Rock platform.

 

Employee Referrer Offer:

Upon successful completion of program conditions, the qualified employee is eligible to receive a $200 eGift card redeemable through the specified online provider.

Please allow approximately ninety (90) days after the Referee processes their first credit and/or debit transactions with Moneris to receive the gift card.

Upon receiving the eGift card, the qualified referrer must redeem and claim by clicking on the link included in the reward within 30 days or receipt. This promotional reward is subject to cancellation or withdrawal at any time. Please be advised, the employee $200 eGift card referral reward is considered a taxable benefit and subject to applicable payroll deductions.

 

 

Qualifying Referee:

The Referee must:

1. Be a business located and operating in Canada.

2. Be referred by a Moneris Employee Referrer with a valid referral link.

3. Enroll via the referral form using the same business email address that will be used to establish their Moneris account.

4. Not be an existing Moneris Merchant.

5. Must be classified as an IB Merchant as per Moneris segmentation.

6. The Referee must be classified as an IB Merchant as per Moneris account segmentation. The Offer is not available to merchants who: (i) currently participate in a merchant program for franchisees, trade associations, member associations or other buying

groups; or (ii) have processed an aggregate Visa® and Mastercard® transaction volume of $2,500,000 CAD or greater in the preceding three (3) months.

 

 

Referee Offer:

The Referee will receive a $200 eGift card that is redeemable through the specified online provider. Please allow approximately 90 days after the Referee processes their first credit and/or debit transactions with Moneris for the gift card to be redeemable.

Upon receiving the eGift card, the qualified referee must redeem and claim by clicking on the link included in the reward within 30 days of receipt. This promotional reward is subject to cancellation or withdrawal at any time.

 

Other terms:

Moneris is under no obligation to approve a Referee for any services and reserves the right to determine a qualified Referee in accordance with its credit adjudication and other policies and procedures. Following satisfactory internal Moneris approval, Referees will be required to agree to, and agree to be bound by, the terms and conditions under the merchant and/or gift card processing agreement(s) and/or other agreement(s) with Moneris (the “Moneris Merchant Agreement(s)”). Due to the confidential nature of the merchant approval process, Referrer will not be notified when applications are declined.

Only one of each Referrer and Referee Offer is available per Referee. If a Referee is referred to Moneris by multiple Referrers, the Referrer who submitted the referral of the Referee first shall be eligible for the Referrer Offer. The Referral Offer and Referee Offer (collectively, the “Offers”) are subject to change, availability, withdrawal or cancellation at any time and are not valid with any other Moneris offer. If the Referee is an existing merchant of Moneris or has already applied for the product or services without participating in the Referral Program, neither the Referrer nor Referee will be eligible for the Offers. The Referrer and Referee hereby acknowledges that the offer will be awarded to the parties associated by the specific referral link resulting in a Merchant Agreement. All products and services are subject to the terms and conditions of the Moneris Merchant Agreement.

Moneris assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, misdirected referrals or communications, or for any failure of the gift card fulfilment website. Referrals are subject to verification and Moneris reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, disqualify, limit, or revoke this offer in its sole discretion or if it finds or believes that a Referrer or Referee is manipulating or otherwise abusing the process, fairness or integrity of the offer. If a referral is declared ineligible, Referrer and Referee will be ineligible for the Offers and the Referrer and/or Referee will pay Moneris the amount (or value) of the Offers it received. Referee and Referrer agrees to abide by these terms.

 

Privacy Statement:

By providing your information, you agree that Moneris may collect, use, store and transfer the information for the purposes of providing access to the platform, supporting the referral program, contacting you, and offering you products, services and support. Moneris may also share the personal information you provide with service providers supporting its referral program. FAQs

  • Active Moneris employees with a Moneris email address can register and participate in the employee program.

    Please note Sales Centre, Regional Sales, Offshore Sales and Solution Sales reps are exempt from the employee program and must use the existing Sales Referral Program to make a referral BAU.

  • Visit https://go.moneris.com/EmployeeReferral and complete the form using your Moneris email address. You will be taken to your referral page with your unique link to share with friends.

  • To make a successful referral you must share your unique link with the person joining Moneris, and they must use that link/complete the form to create an eligible sales lead. If the referral does not follow this process, it will be deemed ineligible for the offer.

  • You may refer individuals who you have business or personal relationships with who you believe could be interested in Moneris products / services. The referred business must be categorized as an IB Merchant (per Moneris’ segmentation) and not processes above $15M in annual credit card volume.

  • The status of your referrals can be viewed from your personal referral dashboard. Navigate to the "My Referrals” tab to see their status. We will update as necessary and notify you via email if referrals are approved.

  • There is no limit to the number of referrals you make; however, you will only receive rewards for the approved referrals that meet all program terms and conditions.

  • If your referral meets the requirements set out in the program Terms and Conditions, you will receive an email with your eGift card. You can see status of your referrals and rewards through your personal dashboard. Navigate to the “My Referrals” tab and “My Rewards” tab for current statuses and rewards. Please allow up to 90 days after the referral joins Moneris to receive your eGift card.

  • Yes, the $200 eGift card is considered a taxable benefit through payroll for employees.
