The Moneris Go Restaurant app can run on the Moneris Go terminal when the terminal is in standalone mode. Moneris Go Restaurant uses the Moneris Go terminal to process payments.
Your Moneris Go terminal can operate in standalone mode or cloud mode depending on the type of service you offer. Review the table below to understand the difference between these two modes.

Sync your terminal with Moneris
This procedure is about starting the Moneris Go payment app, not the Moneris Go Restaurant app. If needed, you can use the Moneris Go payment app to view transactions, perform refunds and void, and sync with the Moneris server. Some of these tasks, like viewing transactions and performing refunds, can also be done directly in the Go Restaurant app.
Note: These may not be the same your user name and password for the Moneris Go Restaurant app.
This procedure is about viewing payment transactions in the Moneris Go payment app. You can also view payment transactions directly in the Go Restaurant app.
If the payment transaction was interrupted for any reason, it may not appear on the list.
If the payment transaction does not appear or was not approved, re-try the payment using the Go Restaurant app.
This procedure is about processing a void or a refund in the Moneris Go payment app. You can also process refunds directly in the Go Restaurant app.
Note: When processing refunds or voids for debit and UnionPay transactions, you will need the customer’s card.
Note: This topic is about restarting the Go Restaurant app on the Moneris Go terminal. For an iPad or Android tablet, follow the manufacturer's instructions for stopping and restarting a frozen application.
If the app on the terminal is unresponsive or frozen, you can force it to close and then restart it.
If the app froze during a payment transaction, you can open the Moneris Go payment app and view transaction reports to determine if the transaction was completed successfully.
To sync your Moneris Go terminal settings with Moneris, follow these steps.
Note: Updates to the terminal software will happen automatically, but there may be times when Moneris staff will ask you to sync your terminal.
