Getting Started

You must prepare your terminal before you process transactions:

1. Set up the hardware.

2. Peel off the protective film (if applicable).

3. Depending on the SIM card that you received with your terminal, do one of the following:

• Rogers SIM card: Go directly to step 3. You do not need to change the default APN setting.

• Telus SIM card: Go directly to step 3. You do not need to change the default APN setting.

• Bell SIM card: First change the APN setting by referring to APN value. Then proceed to step 3 below to check the status indicators on your terminal.

3. Configure the manual card entry password.

4. Confirm the communications status of the terminal:

• Mobile Signal Strength

• Mobile (3G) Connection Status

4. Initialize the terminal.

5. Logon to the Moneris Host.

6. Configure the optional features.

7. Once the terminal is ready to use, practise performing transactions in Training mode to ensure that any errors made while learning to perform transactions do not affect your business account.
