Hardware and software

In addition to the application within the Go portal, the Go Retail solution includes various pieces of hardware and software.  Follow these steps to set up your hardware.

Terminal hardware

  1. Set up the terminal hardware:
  • Insert the paper roll to allow printing of receipts and reports.
  • Charge the battery.
  • Power on the terminal. 

For help with these steps, refer to the support page for the Moneris Go or the Moneris Go Plus terminal.   

Important: You do not need to perform the Moneris Go application setup which begins with the "Let's get payment ready" prompt. This app applies to merchants using the terminal in standalone mode.  Go Retail requires the terminal to be in cloud integrated mode in order to connect with your store.

  1. Set up the terminal software for integrated mode.

Barcode scanner

  1. Set up your barcode scanner, if applicable. 

Go Retail app for the Go Plus terminal

  1. Install the Go Retail app on the Go Plus terminal to use Go Retail without your computer or laptop.
