Enhanced tip prompting allows you to configure up to three pre-set tip percentages while maintaining the ability to permit cardholders to enter their own tip amount, either as a percentage or as a dollar amount.
From the READY screen prompt:
To navigate through the menus:
- Scroll down: press the
key
to move the highlight bar down.
- Scroll up: press the
key
to move the highlight bar up.
- Select a highlighted item: press the
key.

1. Press
the
key.
The MAIN MENU appears.
2. Scroll
down to CONFIGURATION, and press the
key.
The CONFIG FUNCS menu appears.
3. Scroll
down to GENERAL PARAMS, and press the
key.
The GENERAL PARAMETERS menu appears.
If the SWIPE ADMIN CARD prompt appears, swipe the POS Admin card.
4. Scroll
down to TIP ENHANCED, and press the
key.
5. At the ENHANCED TIP PROCESSING prompt:
To
enable enhanced tip prompts, select YES.
The TIP ENHANCED menu re-appears. Continue at step 6.
To disable enhanced tip prompts, select NO. The terminal returns to the GENERAL PARAMETERS menu.
6. At the TIP ENHANCED menu, you may configure the options for enhanced tip entry. The first option is TIP CALCULATOR, which calculates and displays the dollar value for each pre-set tip percentage.
a. Press
the
key.
The ENABLE TIP CALCULATOR? prompt appears.
b. To enable tip calculation, select YES. To disable tip calculation, select NO.
The terminal returns to the TIP ENHANCED menu.
7. You may now configure up to 3 pre-set tip percentages, if desired.
a. Scroll
down to TIP PERCENT 1 and press the
key.
The ENTER TIP PERCENT 1 prompt appears.
b. Enter
a value between 0 and 30; for example 15%. Then press the
key. The terminal returns to the TIP ENHANCED menu.
c. Scroll
down to TIP PERCENT 2 and press the
key.
The ENTER TIP PERCENT 2 prompt appears.
d. Enter
a value between 0 and 30; for example 20%. Then press the
key.
The terminal returns to the TIP ENHANCED menu.
e. Scroll
down to TIP PERCENT 3 and press the
key.
The ENTER TIP PERCENT 3 prompt appears.
f. Enter
a value between 0 and 30; for example 25%. Then press the
key.
The terminal returns to the TIP ENHANCED menu.
8. Press
the
key repeatedly to return to the READY screen.

is already highlighted. To accept it, the cardholder can

pre-set percentage, the cardholder presses the number on the keypad
corresponding to their choice of tip. Or, they can scroll down
to the desired choice and press the If the cardholder selects OTHER, they will see one of the prompts below depending on the configuration of the tip entry format. If the cardholder decides
