Awarding Points During an Advice (Pre-Auth Completion): SI Mode

When the terminal is in Semi-Integrated mode, follow the steps below to award points that were allocated to a loyalty card during the pre-authorization.

IMPORTANT: You must process this loyalty advice in order to award the points allocated during the loyalty pre-authorization.

Note: The transaction types, tender types, and data fields on your ECR may have different names than those used in this document.

1. Perform the semi-integrated credit advice first (refer to the "Advice with Credit Card: SI Mode" procedure).

2.  The terminal will prompt you to enter the loyalty card data following the credit transaction (i.e., if you follow the procedure referenced in step 1, you will ultimately be directed to the steps for completing the loyalty pre-auth.  

3. If your ECR is configured to print receipts, refer to "Printing Loyalty Card Receipts: SI Mode" once the loyalty transaction has been completed.
