Entering the Benefit Amount

The default text of this optional prompt is ENTER BENEFIT, however the Ernex Host may send a customized prompt, e.g. FOOD TOTAL. If this prompt has been customized, see the Customized Prompt Example below.

When the ENTER BENEFIT PRESS OK prompt appears:

a. Press OK.
The ENTER DATA entry screen appears.

b. Key in the dollar amount that will be used to calculate the number of points (i.e. the benefit), and press OK
OR
Simply press OK to use the value displayed.

Note:  The dollar value of the Benefit Amount must be less than or equal to the Total Amount entered at the ENTER TOTAL AMOUNT entry screen during the transaction.

Examples of amounts included the Total Amount that may not be used to calculate points:
Tax, Tip, Cashback, and non-eligible products.

Customized Prompt Example

Ernex may customize this prompt for you. If this prompt has been customized, e.g. FOOD TOTAL PRESS OK is programmed to appear then:

When the FOOD TOTAL PRESS OK prompt appears:

a. Press OK.
The ENTER DATA entry screen appears.

b. Key in the dollar amount of the food purchased, and press OK. This amount will be used to calculate the number of points (i.e., the benefit).
